About Us
Association of South Sudan Manufacturers (ASSM) is a legal entity registered with the registrar of the unions and employers’ association South Sudan on 22nd February 2022 under registration number 13/2022. The association is registered and operates within the provision of section 5 read together with section (9) of the Labor Act, 2017.
We are an umbrella association that advocates for an inclusive, fair, equitable, and favorable environment for business in South Sudan.
We aim to promote and enhance manufacturers’ and agribusinesses’ welfare through a comprehensive approach addressing various sectors’ aspects in the South Sudan ecosystem.
These include access to finance, infrastructure development, technology adoption, market access and linkages, research and innovation, access to inputs, public- private partnerships, regulatory reforms, value addition, small and medium enterprises support , environment and waste management and utilization of market information.
We envision creating an inclusive, fair, equitable, and favorable business environment to benefit the diverse stakeholders and contribute to our society’s overall sustainable growth and development.
The association has a team of delegates led by the chairperson, secretary general and treasurer that ensure the association objectives are achieved.
